REBATE'S ???????????
Has anyone used the rebate where you buy accessories for the Super Duty. The dealer said I could spend $1200. on the acces. and get a $1000.00 rebate. Later he said it had to be purchased from the Ford dealer, or no rebate. Is this right? At first he said any acces. on the list, and purchased anywhere, then changed it to the dealer. Any info will be appreciated. Thanks

Your dealer is pulling your leg.
I got a rebate done today on a deal like yours. The guy bought the truck from me, but got an ARE cap put on (we carry Raider and Covercraft). All I needed was a copy of the receipt, the name and address of the place doing the upfit and a description of what was done.
Beware that Ford will deny the rebate if it is for something that can not reasonably be used for the business (i.e. appearance enhancements, lifts, chips etc.)
I bet he is just trying to get you to buy his stuff. It might not be a bad idea to maintain goodwill with him for two reasons- he can seriously delay the rebate or simply not do it, and to make sure he will help you on any questionable warranty work.
