Does anyone know who is funding this organization? I've seen several of its anti-Peta commercials on Fox News tonight and they are right on target. If the organization checks out, I may even send them some money. Take a look and see what you think.
It really illustrates very well all the problems with out of control lawsuits and their self-perpetuating trial lawyers. It's a good site to pay attention to.

Hi jp,
This is the first I've heard of them. I clicked the About Us link. They say a lot of their donations come from anonymous businesses, which is understandable considering how quickly some of the fringe groups are to resort to violence.

So they've actually been around for a while? Their commercial last night was the first that I had heard of them. The website and the links are very impressive. When I clicked on the "About us" link, this is how it starts:
"What is The Center
for Consumer Freedom?
The Center for Consumer Freedom is a nonprofit coalition supported by restaurants, food companies, and consumers working together to promote personal responsibility and protect consumer choices.
Unlike the anti-consumer activists we monitor and keep in check, we stand up for common sense and personal choice. The growing fraternity of "food cops," health care enforcers, militant activists, meddling bureaucrats, and violent radicals who think they know "what's best for you" are pushing against our basic freedoms. We're here to push back. "
You have to like this site. They make no bones about their mission; no hidden agendas.
I noticed that the ads are basically fund raising to run more ads, to raise more funds, not much diff than peta or a million others in that respect, nature of free speech. I'm not familliar with the arson case cited, but what is troubling to me is if the police have survailed this guy illegaly discussing something, surly he is busted again, and if he isn't busted again, then he must not have broken the law, but if he is not breaking the law, and is off probation, why are the police survailing him, thats creeepy and wrong, if true. If peta 'gave $70,000" to this guy, I am sure the tax folks will scrutinize this donation for violation of their tax exempt status .
