Power door lock not working
The lock position on my 98 F150XLT reg. cab is dead,unlock works.Pass. and driver sides dead.Remote arms alarm but doesn't lock.Doesn't seem to be the lock motor since both doors are dead.Any ideas?Thanks.

I would have to guess that the RAP (remote anti-theft personality) module is dead. I believe that if both door lock switches were not working it could also give you the same problem. Did it all stop working at the same time or 1 door at a time?
To check it would require you taking your truck in to your dealer and having the system scanned for codes and go from there.

Thanks for the reply.There were no codes for the RAP when I ran the codereader(rented from Autozone).The remote arms and disarms correctly,unlocks both doors but doesn't lock either.There is no click sound,just dead.I read in the owner's manual about a 20 amp circuit breaker in the fuse panel which I couldn't find and the 15 amp mini fuse in the engine compartment which was good.Do you know where this circuit breaker is?Thanks.I just got the truck at a great price,you can see why,so I'm not sure about what order the switches died or both at the same time.
