Took delivery of my F-350 last thursday. When the dealership preped my vehicle they scratched the paint in three diffrent areas of the vehicle.. Not just small minute scratches in 2 spots they scratched it to the primer. It was obviously from a buffer. Went to the dealer today to speak with the dealer prep manager he was not there. Will call him asap in the morning.. I wish I had noticed them the day I picked it up however the vehicle is black and was obviously gleaming on that day and hard to notice when all clean and shiny. Just wanted to ask anyone how I should aproach this situation with the manager tommorow. Thanks in advance!!
I had a paint drip on mine when I picked it up. THey made me an appointment for the next week and fixed it. Alittle complaining from the body shop manager since the sales man made the appointment for a friday, but other than that no prob.
They should fix the scratches no problem, I had a crack in my mirror housing and was there when truck was purchased and I was so excited about getting the truck I didnt notice it till the next day. I contacted them and told them that I wasn't for sure if I did it or if it was there when I purchased it and they gladly fixed it.
When I purchased my 03 Excursion in August, the front bumper had black spots (looked like black paint or grease) under the clearcoat. It was above the paint and below the clear coat.
Under warrenty, the dealer repaired it to like new.
I have heard and/or read on an old post or forum that Ford's Superduty plant(s) have had paint issues before!!
In every case, I have heard that they have taken care of it with out fail.
