The balancer is in..

For a used balancer the quality is unbelieveable. Almost looks new. Much better than the one I used for the original rebuild. Its getting a nice coat of paint now. Tomorrow I should be installing it unless I get sidetracked.

Make an index mark between the hub and the ring, that way you can tell if it ever slips.

I had already thought of that Barry. That should be a standard practice but is not often mentioned. I never thought to do it before. Good idea!

I did get it from DSC.

Its on and running. Seems to work great. I got the drill marks perfect as can be and indexed it. The truck runs pretty good now with the timing set at 18BTDC and a total of 39BTDC. I am going to retard it a bit and then go for another road test.

Well while my truck was down I changed to BFG Radial T/A tires from the dunlops. 275/60s on the back. It still smokes them pretty easy but traction has definitely improved.
