I'm peeved! BAD! One of my classes didn't make (not enough students signed up) this semester! It's one of the two I need to graduate!! This happened to me last sememster as well! I've already talked to the professor, and the Dean of Students, and I'm still stuck!
Sometimes they'll let you take the class as independent study -- same text and materials, just self-taught. If it's happened two semesters in a row, ask if that is an option. Of course, it helps to be a very bright and personable young'un who hasn't ticked off the faculty ))))
You might also see if there is a graduate school equivalent of the class (a masters level class vs a senior level class, MA550 vs MA450). Often they use the exact same text book and are usually offered to graduate students who are majoring in something other than their undergraduate major.
That is one of the reasons why I went to a Tech school instead of a traditional college. Upon enrollment, the courses were preset so that I did not have to worry about not having a class. Now we did have a morning and an afternoon class on the same schedule and at the end of the 6th quarter, they lost a student so they only had 4 people left. The minimum for a class was five. So what they done was move those students to the morning schedule so that they did not have to lose any classes.
