Tail light style question

Howdy All,
I was wondering if anyone can line out for me what years of
trucks used the same exact taillight lens and housing?
I know the 67-72 all used the same with a lens variation for the
backup light, I believe... What others are identical from year to
year?

73-79 trucks all have identical tail lights. I believe 80-86 are the same and then 87-96 or somewhere around there.

Planning to build some lights for us? If you do one thing to keep in mind is a lot of guys are looking for the clear lense tail lights (and front turn signals) which aren't really available for our trucks. It would be an option a lot of people would be interested in.

Can't wait to see what's in store!

Actually yes, I am looking to go forward with Ford trucks. I didn't
want to advertise it though. What about the years before the 67's?
As far as clear lenses, I preferr the red leds with the red lens. It's
just a more true color. I have a '67 Chevy, and have both clear
and standard red lenses. The color of the light comming out of
the lens, is just more true with the red lens. The boards are red,
the leds are actually clear, but give off a red light.

You might wanna check the other forums, there aren't a lot of those one around, by comparison to the 67- up trucks.

Never seen a 4 screw version, and I have had them all.

I think some of the 80's full size vans had the same lens as the 73-9 also.

Cool

I think only 1973 had the 4 screw tail lights possibly 1974.
I think he wants to also go back prior to 1967 as to what years are the same, I'm really not that good with the '66 back Ford trucks.
The '73-'79 2 screw tail lights will go onto the older 4 screw trucks, you simply just install them with 2 screws!

The reason I am collecting information on the Ford styles is so that I can start designing, and producing LED Tail lights. You can
go to my website in my signature to see what we have done with
67-72 chevy, and you can also see them through our distributor:
www.earlyclassic.com/ledtaillights.html
The ford models will be very similar to what we've done with chevys. Also, National Parts Depot will probably be carrying the
taillights for the Ford trucks, as they will have them for mustangs
by the end of Jan.

Can someone tell me what the most popular years are? For example: the 65-66 Mustangs were the most popular of all the
mustangs. What is it with the trucks?

EDIT: rewrite
78-79 broncos
73.5-79 trucks
77-79 vans
use the same tail lights.
80-92 vans fit but the socket maybe different
