Question Power Passenger Seat - '01 Expy

Guys and Gals-

I have an '01 Expy (4.6 L, XLT, 4X2). I have just had a knee replacement and with the manual passenger seat, I can only sit in it for about 15 minutes before the raised front edge of the set cuts off circulation to my right leg. Driving is no problem, since with the power seat, I can tilt the front edge of the seat down and eliminate the problem. Around town, its not a problem, but on a 3-day trip to Denver, I don't want to do all the driving. The local dealer says that there is no power seat available, but when we bought the car, the other '01 Expy we were looking at had a power passenger seat! Anyone have any help for me?

A phone book on the floor maybe? I'm not trying to be a smart a$$, but you could just put a few folded towels on the floor to get the same effect as lowering the front part of the chair.

Smile How about this....

Try going to fordpartscheap.com and looking up seat parts. I was interested in doing this for an F150 and the seat mounts are the same. If you can't find it in the f150/expedition parts goto navigator parts. I think the power base was about $325 and the switches and covers plate were about $50 but don't quote me on that...
