Thanks!

I feel that I owe everybody in this Forum thanks. I am a diehard Ford guy and have owned 4 Ford diesels. We currently have an '01 Excursion Powerstroke, an '89 F250 with a 460, my '01 F150 5.4 and my '78 crewcab 4x4. I have put over 90,000 miles on the F150 in 2 1/2 years without any repair. But I needed a 3/4 ton work truck and because I drive so much I wanted something that would still be under warranty after two years.

I would have bought an '03 F250 with the 6.0 if this forum wasn't here. Because of the problems many of you have had (I'm sorry, by the way), I tried to find an'03 with the 7.3. My local Ford dealer didn't try very hard to find my truck and repeatedly told me that the 6.0 problems were "over reported" and that Ford had fixed the problem. Thanks to you guys, I knew this was a partial truth.

I almost bought an '03 F350 crewcab dually 4x4 with the 6.0. The engine/trans. are awesome. I have never driven a truck with that kind of power. Wow! But the engine scared me away.

I bought an '03 Dodge Cummins QuadCab. I like the truck, but it is nothing like the 6.0. I will drive this for two years and hopefully the 6.0 will turn into a great diesel. Every on ramp, I miss that power.

I hope everyone with a problem gets it fixed, those trucks are unbelievable and I can't wait until '05 when the Dodge goes away.!

Rob

My Aptil build 03 6.0L X has had minimal problems - and for sure nothing that would drive me away - it is undoubtably the best travelling vehicle I've EVER had and now with the Diablo Predator I'm finally faster than my wife's Lincoln LS V8 !
