tranny concerns
DS59100, I just e-mailed my service Dept. for a tranny flush and a fuel filter change. Waiting to here back on the price of the operation, was thinking about doing it myself. then i was wondering what if the tranny doesent want to shift correctly?

My service dept. said a tranny service is going to run me about $140. I am going to get mine done tomorrow morning.
Been reading a lot here about making sure the oil gets changed every 30k. Also the service dept also recomends this also. Asked him some tough questions, letting him understand he wasn't going to B/S me. Probably the best conversation I've had with one of these persons yet.

He recommended changing the tranny oil every 30K? or the rear gear oil every 30k? I hope he meant the tranny fluid, cuz if not, he's BS'g you. Rear gear oil every 100K, unless the rear end gets fully submerged, then is s/b replaced right away.

Yeah he recomended the tranny fluid be changed every 30k. You guys here really do know what your talking about. The service guy was in complete agreement. Perhaps he might be a member.
The atf change and my annual State inspection only took them about an hour to complete.
The big reason I went back to the dealer was the inspection $$ is payed for by the dealer and the Service person I talked to actually seemed to be knowledgeable about some of the questions I asked him.
Sometimes it's real nice to just sit here and read what everybody writes about. Then pester the Service Dept. about whether or not they know anything.
