1985 Driveshaft Swap?
I have an 85 2WD F150 300 6 cylinder, 3 speed OD. My driveshaft is the 2 piece one with a slip yoke in the center. It is worn and needs replaced so I went looking at the junkyard and all I was finding was trucks with 1 piece driveshafts. Is there any reason that I couldn't remove my 2 piece driveshaft and replace it with a 1 piece shaft?

If you go with a 1 piece driveshaft, you'll have to change the rear output yoke in the rear of the tranny to a slipyoke. ie change the whole tail shaft assembly.
If it was I, I'd take it to a good drive shaft shop and have them remake it.
