frontend lean
The other day I realized that my truck was not sitting level.The frontend leans towards the driver side, about 3/4 of an inch.I have the Skyjacker 4" lift with all springs on my 2001 f250 v10. I used various methods of measure to prove to myself that I was not seeing things. I even measured the spring arch for both front springs and it always come up different.So I took it to the shop and let them look at it and the said it was indeed leaning.The manager then called Skyjacker to see what they would do.They told him that they do not think it is a weak spring(its only 3 months on truck).They did say that they had a few problems with the 2001 trucks.It had something to do with the passenger side rear spring shackles and they were tweaking the cross corner of the truck down thus making the driver side lean. They said the fix was a 1/2 spacer block on the front.I am sorry but this sounds like a story to me.Does anybody out there have any similar problems or answers for me?The rear of the truck sits level side to side.Front to rear of the truck sits pretty level also.My plans are to first see if this is a problem with any of you out there. I also will reasearch this at the jamboree next week.I plan to call Skyjax and see what they can tell me.I may also pull both front springs and check the free arch of each,I hear Skyjax has the dem's for this.I paid good money for a brand name lift and do not want to "patch" the front end up.If it sags now what do you think it will look like in a couple years??Any ideas or comments will be appreciated.Thanks ED
