how big a carb ????
i got a 85 f 150 with a 300 an id like to get rid of the 1 bbl carb an put the 2 bbl carb on there . id like to know what carb to use an how much cfm do i need to use . can i buy a holley 2 bbl an put that on or do i need a ford carb ???? tks for any info on this .

For a stock 300 a Holley 350 or a Motorcraft 2150 are good choices for a 2V carb. These will need some tuning to adapt to the 300. If you can get a rebuilt 2150 get one for a 302 V8 and the main jets will be pretty close for your 300 I6. Also, both the Holley and Motorcraft come with electric choke.
Most feel that it's not worth the time to put a 2V carb on the 300 without some exhaust modifications.
