Speedometer?????
Do these things have electronic speedometers or mechanical ones? I am guessing it is all electronic due to the digital odometer.
What is the most likely cause of this problem? Can't have the speedometer going out, try explaining that to the police officer...
I just found something I hate about the aerostar today... while doing 75+ on the freeway the thing is easily blown all over the freakin road by wind, while vehicles like chevy tahoes are rock solid... I had a couple gusts just about knock me straight off the road. All the while other cars and suv's weren't having any problems with the wind.

My 92 owner's manual indictes that the speedometer "receives input from the Anti-Lock Brake sensor." Therefore, although the speedometer may look like the mechanical speedometer connected via cable to the transmission we are all used to, it is actually electronic.
On the bad handling at high speed, I've read a couple of posts recently indicating this same problem, but as I personally don't drive over 70 - 75 I haven't experienced this.

When I'm at home it isn't a problem, there isn't anywhere I need to go that fast for miles.. When I go on a trip, then it gets fun..
Maybe I need to go to bilstein shocks and new urethane bushings on there to help with the handling. Maybe a sway bar? but how much is it worth when I could just drive another car next time, and leave the aero as a grocery getter... Oh I just thought of something, My rear springs are saggin and need to be replaced badly... that might just be what most of the problem was.
