Question, I've got a 99' F 250 with 110,000 miles every once in a while I'll get out and hear a little hiss from the radiator but can't find the target area or see any scale, Nor does it use any coolant, but I can smell it so I know that there is a leak! The hoses show no sign of fatigue either or scale, and I've cleaned the engine compartment hoping to see if any scale shows up. Since there is a tranny cooler and oil cooler or a/c in the way I can't see all the coils. Since it has the oversized radiator I was wondering if anyone else has had this happen to theirs and it was a common problem with the 1.5" radiator, Any comments are welcome!

Have the system pressure tested. That way it will be easier to pinpoint the leak.

Jimmy, thanks for the tip I'll give that a shot it seems to be the cheapest and fastest alternative at this point and one that I haven't thought of!-David
