390 help!

I just picked up my ford with a 390 in her. I need a air cleaner housing what will work? What motors have the same housing? What air filter will fit in the housing?

It really doesn't matter where you get it from. Any standard Carb Air Filter from the scrap yard will bolt on. The best and cheapest thing to do is spend about $15 on a chrome filter housing and get a $5 14" filter to fit it.

i bought a chrome air filter houseing and air filter from edelbrock for $17.99 through jegs.

The truck has a what tranny are a bolt up to a 390?

The truck has a manual tranny, what can bolt up to a 390? Sorry doing 3 things, all at once.

The most common trannys behind a FE series engine are NP435 4-speed, Toploader 4-speed, C-6 automatic, or they make a bellhousing to mate a C-4 Automatic if you wish.
