Need Help

I have a 99 Eddie Bauer with a 4.0 SOHC. It began idleing rough on cold mornings. The check engine light came on and I got the code P1506. My book tells me that the code is an overspeed error on the idle air control. I put a new IAC valve on and the code returned. Any ideas on what I should check next?

clean your MAF...seems like that is the source for most all the explorers problems with idling....that and the AIC but you seem to have eliminated that alreardy.....

Thanks, tried cleaning the MAF, but still getting the same code. I am going to try to test the new IAC to make sure it isn't shorted but I doubt it is the problem.
