Need vintage air compressor bracket help
I am in the process of installing a vintage air unit in my 55 F 100 with the original Yblock. The thing that has me stumped is the directions for mounting the compressor bracket. It says that if the truck has a front motor mount that you will probably have to trim the bracket. Has anyone done this? Does anyone have a picture that I could look at of the finished product and/or the process to help me see what is supposed to be done before I just start whacking away at it? Also, does anyone have any advice/stories about the installation for me to help the process along, or make me laugh and keep my attitude up?
Thanks,
Jeff
I've installed two Vintage Air units and although they are good quality and work fine they are short on directions and clarity. They bounce you back and forth between pages which makes the install confusing. Are you certain they didn't provide a template for trimming the bracket? If you don't get a response here that answers your question, I would give them a call this week and discuss the problem as them seem to be willing to help when people call. Perhaps they can email or fax some additional instructions. Sorry I couldn't be of more specific help.
Larry
