Well, I really can't counter, because I have not driven a f150 since 1993, let alone really looked one over.
I have had many pre 80's, mid 80's and early 90's f150's-250's and 350's and the SuperDuties I own now handle like sports cars compared to any of them.
I can deal with spring squeak, easy fix, I have had no glitches with my steering, and the cab seals really haven't botherd me.
How ever my right side door leaks a lot of air now since it got caved in
As far as boxcar's post, I have never depended on factory gauges and have always installed after market mechanical guages. I guess I have lower expectations than others, but then again, when I buy a truck, I rip most or the oem pieces off anyhow.
maybe some have never experianced the older model 250 and 350. the new ones are stiff, however, that is a truck suspension, but they are no where near how stiff and bouncy they used to be. i would take riding in a huge John Deere 4wd tractor w/ air ride seats over those old things. All things aside, for a true truck suspension w/ solid front axle and leaf springs at all 4 corners, Ford has done a pretty good job at taming the bounciness. jetmech 69, its a good thing you didnt buy a Ram 2500. you really need to wear your seat belt in that thing.

No way would I buy a Ram 2500, freind of mine has one. Guess I was expecting a little more of the SD's since I had a real good experience with my F150 Super Crew
Well CruisnPhantom, I think you could say we probably all like our SD's. My 2001 going on 112,000 miles and it dosen't burn a drop of oil. Does the door squeak a little-sure, turn the radio up a little and its gone. Put your foot in the throttle and the V 10 gets you up to whatever speed you want fast, loaded or unloaded. Ride stiff-ah maybe, but nothing like my 79 bronco. Go take one for a spin, my bets gonna be you drive one home, or you order one and just have to wait till it comes in. Well I just have my dealer find one for me cause that waiting thing is for the birds.
