hi there,
You might be wondering why I am asking about a 89 mazda B2200, I have a 87 xlt bronco but thats doin fine, the problem is i've been tryin to find on the net how to install the idler and pitman arm on the mazda. I've never worked on the steering of a vehicle and am not too sure whats involved other than ya take the bolts out replace the old parts with the new ones, but I'm wondering is there anything I may have to adjust or watch for. I've got an appt. to get an allignment on the thing tomorrow and I need to get these two parts in before that. If any of ya'll can give me any pointers that would be utmsot helpful.
Thanx, Randy
Before you remove any parts, measure from center of nut to a constant point of something they are attached to. (ie....from center of the tie rod end to the sleeve it goes into.) This will help you put the new parts in pretty close to the same place they were before. That way you wont have a vehicle that wants to drive by itself on they way to the alignment shop.
