95 ranger need help
95 ranger 6 cylinder is running very choppy and rough ending in a stall. I checked plug wires and found they were arcing, replaced them but no change. It almost sounds like gas is getting cut off but not sure. dont have the cash for replacing parts hit or miss. any ideas would be appreciated.

You changed the wires as they were bad, now you need to think how the rest of the systems are. change the air and fuel filters, run some GOOD injector cleaner thru the system. Did you change the plugs? Also get some intake cleaner and spray the intake.
This may not cure it but it will sure get ya on the right road if none of this has been done lately.

You dont mention that you have taken a few minutes to pull the trouble codes? Running as bad as it is should be giving you some sort of trouble code. See if Autozone will pull the codes. One very simple thing to try, is to run it for 1 minute, shut it off & remove the vacuum hose from the fuel pressure regulator. It should be dry.

Believe it or not, a burnt out brake light bulb can cause the engine to run rough. Mostly at idle, but it sure is a quick check. Also vacuum hoses off or cracked. Couple of quick things to check.
