Trailer Lightss
I'm having issues with my trailer lights. I pull a few trailers with my 99 Expedition. The problem is I have no running lights. My brakes lights and blinkers work fine. All the lights on my truck work. Does anyone know if there are seperate fuses for this or could it just be a bad harness ? Thanks

I don't believe there are fuses between the tail-light circuit and the trailer light circuit...I was just working on that on my Expy the other day and don't recall seeing any. Have you tried using a test-light on your plug on the Expy to see if you have power at the running-light prong there?

I am no trailer wiring expert, but it would be my assumption that the issue should be with the trailer - not the vehicle. I would have thought that running lights would be wired in with the tail light circuit (not the brake light function). I know of no other source of power from the coupler or vehicle to draw the power from to activate the running lights at the correct time (the same time as the tail lights are on).
Does this make sense?

There is a fuse box under the hood that has relays and fuses for trailers. This is part of the towing package. Each light on the trailer has a fuse and a relay. I found my problem, Thanks for the help.
