my engine is weird

i drive fine till 4 gear it acts like it slower then 3rd and it kind of hesitate i have a 65 f250 352 engine

Ray, Was that muffler on the truck when you could still leaded gas? It could be partulally stopped up, I had this to happen on a E250 once. Noticed it more when it had rained.

Could your clutch be slipping? Does the engine rev and the truck go slower?
