My wife took the F250 to S. Carolina on business. She checked the oil when she got there and said it was way over full. When it left it was half way between ADD and full.Dealer oil change about 500 miles ago.Truck is a 2002 F250 5.4 with about 4500 miles on it. What do you think?
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 01-Aug-02 AT 10:09 AM (EST)]How confident are you of your wife's ability to check the oil level? Maybe when you checked it, the oil hadn't had time to settle back into the oil pan. My advise is to change it yourself so you don't have to worry if they put too much oil in. We all know how extremely competent the dealers are.
Dear Mr. Gearhead, I really needed a smart *** answer like yours. You should work at a dealership to give an answer like that. I guess after 35 years of driving,70 between the two of us we don't have a clue as to how to check or change the oil. Thanks for the help.
