Crank material
Okay, I know a fair bit about Fords, especially 400's and Big Blocks. I've heard it argued that 400 cranks are gray iron, which, in all honesty, should be false. All crankshafts made by Ford were cast NODULAR iron, excluding of course, the Boss 302 and Boss 429 cranks, which were forged steel. It makes no logical sense that Ford would cast a crankshaft out of gray iron, especially in an engine destined for heavy car and truck duty. Somebody please tell me what this crank is made out of, because it lasts at 6500, and we're thinking of turning it higher in the future.

Thanks mattsbox, I did not know that. I would also like to apologize for sounding and acting like a ***** in the 460 forum, but you have to understand I was offended by Brian460. i apologize for putting anyone else in the middle.
