Excursion Exhaust (Short Tail-Pipe)
The tail pipe is inside the quarter panel/rocker panel and the black soot from the 6.0L diesel motor makes my paint job look horrible.
Having looked at F250's and F350's (with 6.0L PSD motors), the tail-pipe sticks out from under the rocker panel and properly exhausts the soot (exhaust) away from the vehicle and from the underside of the vehicle.
I even worry about fumes comming up from the underside of the truck!! When people say this is a "killer truck" I hope that this isn't what they mean?
I guess the Excursion/exhaust designer fell asleep when they had tarining classes on how to properly vent exhaust fumes away from the underside of the Excursion. I have an 03, how are the 04 Excursions???
Has anyone noticed or had problems?
Thanks,
