My 01 250 with 3.73s came stock with 235-85-16s. I replaced them with 255-85-16s. I got pulled over once and the oficer swore he clocked me at 67 I had the cruise set at 62-63. 255-85s are only slightly taller than 285-75s. I have never had the spedo recalibrated, wich also throws off your gas millage if your going by the odometer than your actually getting better millage. I'm traveling about an extra 10 miles for every 100 on the odometer.

1650 RPM @ 60 MPH. 13.5 MPG.
Anything over that, the MPG goes down to 10-11.
THAT IS ABOUT WHAT MINE IS 04 CC V10 2857516 DID YOU RECALIBRATE YOURE SPEEDO I HAVE NOT YET I AM WAITING TO GET MY SUPERCHIP REPROGRAMMER
I believe that I have read elsewhere on the FTE site that the superchip does not recalibrate the speedo on the SD V-10. Superchips does on some models but not on the SD. You will need to find out specificly for your model.
Originally posted by swanee Considering getting V10 and was curious as to how many RPMs engine turns at 60 in overdrive. Currently have 92 460 and love the fact that 1800 gets me 60. Please include rear ratio. Thanks
I'm having 5.13's installed right now.I pick it up tomorrow.I'll let you know how it works out. With the 38's it was killing me pulling my toy hauler up the big grades fully loaded.I had 4.30's before and it was great with the 38's without the trailer.
My rpm's vary but around 1800 at 60mph. My truck gets about 12mpg on normal freeway driving. If I am on flat open road and set the cruise at 75 - 80 for a long distance, I get 14+ mpg. My truck really seems to like the higher rpms for some reason.
i have an 04 v10 373 gears i installed 285 75 16 tires if i have my computer reflashed to correct my speedo will this also affect the tach lowering the rpm's or doesnt that matter changing tire sizes ?
