Does anyone else have a problem keeping the front wheels clean? I end up with brake dust that is impossible to get off. I've tried all kinds of cleaners and polishes with no luck. After I painted it I took the wheels off and used a wire brush to clean them all off and then polished, polished, polished and polished them. Then I painted them with clear coat wheel paint. Three months later they have that crap built up again and it appears to be just as baked on. I use ceramic brake pads on the Cobra, but I'd hate to spend that kind of money on two vehicles' brakes.
use wax on them, then it comes right off, i use a special metal wax, and almost all of it comes off with the hose, whats left comes off with the sponge
How about get some solid wheels ......... no more brake dust I have bad brake dust problems, but its all good. Just shows that i have some pad left, lol.
have you ever considered just not using the brakes? :-)
just kidding , I recall there used to be some kind of dust shield available that went between the wheel and the rotor. But I dont recall where they could be obtained....
I bought this spray that repels the dirt, the only problem is you have to spray it on really evenly, I mean perfect! Or else you'll get drips, and you can't wipe it off for it to work, it has to dry on. Used it once, but couldn't master it!
