Keeping the Front Wheels Clean

Does anyone else have a problem keeping the front wheels clean? I end up with brake dust that is impossible to get off. I've tried all kinds of cleaners and polishes with no luck. After I painted it I took the wheels off and used a wire brush to clean them all off and then polished, polished, polished and polished them. Then I painted them with clear coat wheel paint. Three months later they have that crap built up again and it appears to be just as baked on. I use ceramic brake pads on the Cobra, but I'd hate to spend that kind of money on two vehicles' brakes.

How often do the wheels get dirty like this, I use bendix pads and they only get a little bit of dust on the wheels.

I guess the ceramic pads aren't that expensive for Broncos. I think that's the route I'll take. They're only $50 for the Bronco at Tire Rack.

have you ever considered just not using the brakes? :-)

just kidding , I recall there used to be some kind of dust shield available that went between the wheel and the rotor. But I dont recall where they could be obtained....

I bought this spray that repels the dirt, the only problem is you have to spray it on really evenly, I mean perfect! Or else you'll get drips, and you can't wipe it off for it to work, it has to dry on. Used it once, but couldn't master it!
