292 to 390 Conversion

292 to 390 Conversion
I have a 1962 Ford Truck, 3/4 ton, standard shift 4 on the floor. It had a 292 but I want to put a 390 in, will this engine bolt up to the rearend and what is required to handle that torque? I don't want to ruin my tranny. I changed the gears - it's no longer equipped with Granny-gear, so I'm ok there.
I would settle for a 302 but I really like the 390 for a possible 4x4 conversion someday in the future.
