Any one out there ever have a clogged cat? my 1994 f150 with a 5.0 has 3 cats on it, one at each manifold then one after the y pipe my o2 sensor says im running lean, ive tried every thing the check engine light keeps coming back on. I was going to take off the y pipe and hollow out the two cats at the manifolds then just put one high flow cat then cat back duals. Will hollowing the cats at the manifolds before the o2 sensor effect the 02 sensor and the computer?
Thanks, dave
the problem with doing that is even if your truck runs good after doing it you wont pass the visual part of the im test and they will make you return it to stock form. most shops wont touch that kind of a change. those cats are a real bear to get at . the easiest way to fix that is to go to 'napa' and buy the complete y/pipe setup, and just bolt it on if you are looking for more sound with that truck the best way is to do the cat back with out mufflers , good luck, bob
