Ok, here is the question. Wait, here is the scenario... I want to paint my axles, either flat or gloss black, i don't really care. Here is the problem and question:
There seems to be a lot of pebbles or chebby parts or something lyin on the roads that always ding anything that is painted under my truck. A few months after painting my steering stabilizers There are little pin hole chips that are rusting... UGLY!!!
So... does anyone have any recomendations or anything as to what type of paint could be used that will last long and handl some abuse? Any help greatly appreciated.
Go to rustbullet.com and use the stuff for a silver primer Then topcoat with your favorite epoxie or whatever.
This stuff is in two words the best coating around..Use it right on top of rusted axles and bye bye rust. I'm on my second gallon..
When you say you are on your second gallon..... does that mean that this stuff doesn't last? Thanks for your reply,im gunna go check out that site.
I don't have a huge rust problem down here in south texas usually just minor surface rust. But it is still ugly. i really want something that will stick good, and will last.
