Question Is this the norm?

When cranking the motor up, It takes a second or two to fire off. My 01 Cummin's used to fire up as soon as you bumped the starter. The motor build is a 6/03 and I dont know which flash I have. Does this cranking issue sound like the norm or not?

The injectors wont fire until the brain knows where the pistons are, this takes 1 revolution. After that the injectors start firing, and .......Houston.........we have lift off!

Just a curiousity, but might this also be due to the method used to actuate the injectors? Maybe needs a bit of oil pressure first, and thus a couple of revolutions?

Just a shot at a thought

The 11 seconds is not long, I wonder why it comes up?
