Injectors

My 97 f350, psd with 300,00 km's may have a injector starting to go. I replaced one in aug of last year. The mechanic said at that time there were a mix of injectors, some newer some looked like they were in there for a while. I would guess I probably have a range from original to almost new. Would that senario along with a injector starting to go cause rough idle and a shake in the truck at highway speeds. I dont want to put out for all 8 injectors and have the problem still be there after. So would a range of injector life cause the above problems. Thanks for any feedback.

I don't think the fact that some of your injectors are newer than others would give you those symptoms. The fact that one is weak is probably the biggest factor. Sometimes, all that's wrong with the way the injector fires is the poppet screw under the solenoid. It takes a wierd little wrench to tighten them up, but if that screw is loose, the injector won't fire properly. Assuming that you have a few with loose screws, you could be getting the symptoms you described.
Just my $.02.

If it comes to the point that you have a bad injector, make sure to call your local International dealer for parts.
