Huh? Driving into the office this morning and weird noises started up. Like a "wirling" noise and sounded like I was driving over concrete roadway expansion joints, but I wasn't. 4X4 selector switch was in 2X4 and I pulled into a snow covered parking lot to see if I was stuck in 4X4. Nope, in 2X4. Called the dealer and he said to bring it in tomorrow morning (Thursday) and they'll look at it.
Haven't tried the tailgate yet. The binding/clicking from under the truck is gone, but the weird dash noise stills haunts me. It's real intermitant, so I'll wait till it gets worse and go back.
Thing is I asked the service writer to ride with me to hear but he declined. This time I'll insist.
Better than having the service writer go for a ride with you would be to see if you can take a tech with you.
Quite often things get lost in between what the service writer hears and what he tells the tech.
