I saw this post in the v10 section where they guy was proud that his v10 started in -3 weather, well my 302 EFI started right up the other day and it was -42! Only had to turn the key once and she fired right away, ran beutifully too! And that is with over 250,000 KMs on it.
Another point for the small block. I know that this is not really good for the motor but I was an emergency and I forgot to plug it in the night before. Are there some specific design elements that helped me out besides fuel injection and a high amp battery?
HELLO fello CANADIAN, I live in THUNDER BAY -3 is a start up and go thing for us, the last week or so has been pretty cold -32 today, my wife took my power stroke to work today forgot to plug it in it started but didnt like it,I would say your truck started because it is A FORD !!!!!!!
Yah I know -3 is nothing aound here, most of the time we are driving around at about -30. I just thought -42 with no block heater, and running properly was a little unusual. We are talking fahrenheit Eh? atleast I am.
