What is the highest bill that you have ever got? I have Five Nextel phones. Last months bill is $1600.One phone has a bill of $934.00 She said she forgot to check her times. No wonder they can sponser nascar.
:-staun are you kidding? $1600...are they surgically implanted and continuously in use or something? that's crazy! if I had to talk on the phone that much...I think I would stay in the office/home more....if it was an absolute necessity, then I think I would find a cheaper plan....I've seen some with unlimited use for $199/mo, although I'm sure there is a catch. either way, you could have a vacation home somewhere nice for that!
I got that beat hands down. I have in front of me a Cingular bill for $2,562.70. That is 6 cell phones. Actually, 4 cell phones and 2 Treo's. Seems the guy with the other Treo went to Mexico and roamed on TelMex. He hasn't come back yet but he has quite a surprise waiting for him when he does. Guess who is paying $1888.14 of the bill? I'll give you a clue, it ain't gonna be me.
OMG!!! That is expensive. I think somone will be losing their cell phone ASAP. I am a teacher and a student told me that they had a $490 bill, becuase of text messaging
You people are just plain NUTS! And all for an "electronic leash" ("Hi, where are you RIGHT NOW? What are you doing? When are you going to be home? Will you stop at the store and pick up a 'few' things?" "Few" meaning at least 40......). You are all out of your minds, and Yes, I'm getting old. Get over it!

Kind of hard to run a business these days without them. I only get one call a day that is close to the one you describe. It is usually less than 3 minutes in length. I have to call suppliers during the day and people have to be able to get in touch with me 24/7. I also have a Nextel and a P900 2 way pager that doubles as a wireless fax machine in the field. I have a laptop in my truck with a satellite internet 'always on' connection and my handheld Treo 600 has a GPRS connection. Oh, also a 2 way radio on a repeater. I have every "leash" you could possibly imagine. Leashes are fine if they help make money. (IF)
What happened Andy got Ct Fuzzy Disease?? lol
Company pays for my cell and I am darn glad. It seems i'm on it for hours a day. Wifes is 15 to 20 a month.
Man there have got to be better plans you can get on. I've got one of these plans that as long as i'm in my home territory (which is pretty large, about six local counties), there is no per minute charge for incoming or outgoing. none. zip. and no charge for long distance in the US. When I'm in my area, the cell phone reads "free". I have stopped using my home phone almost altogether. I just use the cell for everything now. When I travel outside the home area I get 300 minutes a month (which included long distance) before they start charging. I don't travel that often, and when I do I've never gone even near the 300 minutes. The monthly cost of my plan is 49.99 A buddy of mine regularly has phone bills in the 3 digit range, and he never travels more than me- I just laugh at him each month, cause my bill never changed.
92lightning - Unless she's a relative of some sort, looks to me like you have one employee that needs to be switched to the "radio only" option on Nextel.
Our 2 Nextels run about $190 a month and thats with me having 500 mins, Steve having 800 mins and both having unlimited free incoming.
when i first got my cell phone years ago, being an over the road trucker, i made just a little tiny bill one month, seems i left my phone on and connected to a friend in california while i was in upstate new york. i had left my phone in the truck because i was laid over for the weekend, i had gotten an hotel room and sat there for 3 and a half days. never once went out to my truck, i was single then so i had no wife calling me or no one i couldnt call with the phone in the room for alot cheaper then the 3 dollar a minute roaming charges i was getting while trapped in New york. well my surprise was when i got back into my truck i saw 5040 minutes and sill counting on my phone at 3 dollars a minute that came to $15, 120 buckaroos. imagine getting that bill in the mail, kinda like the commicial when the table breaks when he sets down the wireless bill lol. well after the doctors got my heart started again when i got that bill i called my cell phone company and talked alot to his guy and that, and they said since they could see it was a three day call they would be willing to adjust my bill because it should have disconnected being that long. still cost me almost three grand to pay them off. now can anyone beat that for one phone and for one months service ?????
