im cold
i have a 97 f-150 and about two weeks ago my heater started to blow not so hot air and now it only blows c-c-c-cold what does this problem sound like to you guys and how much will it cost to fix

What size engine do you have?
Is the coolant full?

it's a 4.2L i think? i have not checked my coolant level. if its low that could be the cause of my heater not working?

sounds to me like you ran out of coolint.....
no water no heat...
i think thats how it works...

it runs perfect and only has 43000 miles. good for a 97 huh?

UhhOhh, sounds like a timing cover leaking to me.
Check the oil for any moisture in it. It will be milky looking. Check out

Better check that leak pronto. Mine lost antifreeze into the lower intake manifold and caused a severe knock. Must have got a piston.

If you pull the dipstick and it is milky looking, you have water in your oil. If the truck has been sitting for a while, loosen the drain bolt until a trickle comes out. Water is heavier than motor oil and the water will be the first to drip out.
