Specs

does anyone know the engine specs for a 360 in a 68 ford? i would like to know both net and gross hp. also some torque specs would be nice. if anyone can help i would appreciate it.

has anyone ever quartered thier stock 360 and what was the time and speed

The "1968 Ford Truck Shop Manual" says: Compression ratio=8.4:1
Taxable hp=52.49
Brake hp=215@4400rpm
327 ft. lbs.@2600

Slow, it wasn't designed for 1/4 mile racing. I'd guess about 18 seconds at 80 mph.

Qtr mile time has lots of variables. Weight, gears , tires, mods?
