what year and motor, mine in my 94, 4.0 is pressed into the flywheel.
If it is actually in the end of the crank you can try and peen it up so you can get it with pait of pliers or something. Try not to bang up where it is mounted.
On mine the bearing is the only part replaced and it is about the size of a dime in diameter, and with the flywheel off you can punch it out real easy.
Make sure you put a little grease on the rollers before you install the transmission. Not a whole lot just a little to add to the factory stuff. My last bearing was totally gone and the cause of my shifting problems.
best way is to borrow/rent a puller some auto parts stores have them for customer use. rather than try to hack it out (it can be done) but it takes a lot longer
