best engines

What do you think are the best engines for reliabilty, work, and pure power?

I like the old 300 6 as the most reliable and back in the day the 390 was a decent work motor. never had pure power so I am not sure about that. I suppose the diesels are mighty these days.

I hace a 351 with 211k so it seems to be reliable but no power for some reason.

I guess I would have to say the 5.4, but that is a little biased. I am sure there are plenty of people who would disagree with me

for a long lasting good motor i would say the 300I6, for a good work motor back in the day i like the 390 and 428 for hotrodding them up, for a work horse i owuld say the 460 even tho it is a gas hog.

300- Six all the way, its what's getting me around these days cause my fuel I 302 is giving me fits, plus its going on 14 years after the rebuild I did. My six took the place of a 302 that blew after only 140,000, most miles put on by past owner.
