I read on the Banks web site that our trucks have a built in 60 second delay on full power. I lost a rather embarassing drag race with about and '84 Oldsmobile the other day, and in a drag race with my buddy's chebbie he always gets me off the line until my truck winds up to around 3000rpm, then I gain on him like Homer Simpson after he discovered his window to weight gain.
I was at the Banks site because I vowed I'd never be beaten by an OLDmobile again. Then I found out the price, and I might just have to swallow my pride. Any found a way to bypass this power delay?

Try an old raceing trick...preload the stall converter by stepping on the throttle while pushing on the brake peddle, then release the brake and mash the throttle to the floor. I'm not sure how much RPM you can hit before the rear tires start to spin, but you'll be REAL surprised how hard the truck will launch!
