Sliding Window
I recently purchased a 79 F 150 with a rear sliding window. The latch has been broken off. Can this be repaired without replacing the window? Are there any aftermarket window latch's out there that this can be repaired with or should I just spend the money for a new window?

The latches themselves are easily enough gotten. It's the rest of the window that you need to consider before making the decision. Are the rails for the sliders all true and free of rust? Seals good? Cracks,,etc. etc. If any of those things need to be taken care of, then it might be more efficient to find a new window. Otherwise,, I agree, just go to the dealer (ack,,) and get the latch.
