94 F150 Syncros
I have been told my Syncros are failing. They will need to be replaced. Am I better off replacing the tany or Having a Trany Shop crack her open and replace the Sync gears.

I assume you have an M5OD trans in it. The question really is, do you pay a trans shop to do a complete rebuild, or get a rebuilt one. Rebuilt M5OD's sell for $650 - $1000 (exchange), plus removal and install. Check with a reputable trans shop and see what they would charge you for a rebuild. Then decide

It is the Mazda Trany. It is more of a troubleshooting issue now. Once she is warmed up it shifts like butter, but when shes cold if the truck is moving shifting into 1st and 2nd is extreemly difficult. Shifting getts better down the road. As well, when sitting still there is ful range of motion with the clutch down. Any thoughts or ideas out there.
