Spark Plug Thred Problem
Today I decided to put in new set of plugs in my 351M. First I removed all the plugs from the left side of the motor. They all came out fine. As I moved to the right side, I had a very hard time taking out the first plug. It felt as though the plug was cross-threaded in the head. When I got the plug out, the threads looked terrible. As I continued on, I found that every plug on the right head was the same way. All were very hard to remove and looked as though the threads were crossed. I replaced these plugs about 10,000 miles ago. I’m sure that they were not cross-threaded when they were installed because I always first put the plugs in by hand then tighten them down. I was wondering if anyone had any idea why this would happen on one head and not the other. My guess is that the head might have got too hot. Any thoughts, ideas??????
Thanks for your help
