crunching brakes
I got an 89 F 250 4x4. I can hear a crunching sound from one of the front wheels. I can't tell which side but i suspect passanger side. It not a "grind" but more of a "crunch" Some times its there, sometimes not. I can hear it at all speeds in forward and reverse. I suspect it is the brake cause if i roll slow i can hear it but if i ride the brake it stops. I jacked it up, took of pad, rotor, caliper. They all look good, and it don't make sound when i roll it by hand. Only thing i could think of are some thing with the 4 wheel part of it, u joint, lockout but if it was why would it stop when brake it applied? any ideas?
