can anyone help my dash lights arnt working i have an 88 f-150 i have checked the fuses and the blbs there good and i dont know what else it could be? help
The light switch could be bad. Either the switch or the rheostat in the switch that controls the brightness of the dash lights. The best way is to tracr the juice with a test lamp. The dash light fuse doesn't have juice until the light switch is turned on. Good Luck
Ditto on the switch. When I was restoring my '76 Maverick Stallion, I had the same problem. It was the switch. They're pretty similar straight through to the '90s with dash mounted pull switches. I'd rather have to deal with them than the column mounted ones. Easier and cheaper!
I'd check one other thing first, though. Do you have any corrosion or deposits on the fuse block blades? I had a problem with that on the other car and cleaning the blades and a new fuse corrected that one. Then again, it had glass fuses, but you never know.
