problem that doesn't go away

Every two months or so my 2002 explorer sounds like a old squeaky mattress when going over a speed bump. Ford keeps replacing my front sway bar bushings and once again I went over a speed bump today and the noise is there. I must of had these things replaced no less than 8 times. This is really getting frustrating, its to the point where i want to sell it and never buy another ford. can anybody explain why this keeps happening?

Now, if the setup is the same as my 99, then you could try replacing the sway bar bushings with urathane bushings. As the rubber ones age, you get the squeeks that are heard. Hope that gives you something to look at. Let us know how you make out.

Not really sure where you can get them from, but all you should need is a wrench and a little time.

I took my bushings off, cleaned them and applied a bit of silicone grease wherever they touch metal. No more squeakin'!

You might look at central4wd.com or contact them directly and see what they have to offer.

Yep. Also anti-sway bar and anti-roll bar, all the same.

Personally, I'm inclined to do it myself before I'd pay someone else. Besides, these things are really easy to do. Good luck!
