Transmission chirps

Hey guys, I have a chip in my truck and when it hits overdrive now it makes a chirp noise in the transmission. It didn't do it when I first installed the chip about 6 months ago. Just started noticing it about 3 weeks ago. I'm thinking it's the clutches slipping maybe. It only does it when shifting into overdrive. It shifts pretty hard when goin into overdrive because of the chip which I like. But I was just wondering if maybe I should start thinking about putting a clutch kit in sometime in the future. Thanks in advance.

Perhaps I am experiencing the same type thing as you. My 1999 EB Expedition 4x4 makes a noise when shifting into overdrive and I think it happens going into 3rd as well. I wouldn't describe it as a chirp though. It's more like a chatter. It sounds very much like when you run over those noise strips on the side of the interstates, but much more subdued. It only seems to occur under moderate to heavy acceleration and lasts for only a second or so. If I let up on the gas when I hear it, it immediately goes away. I filled the front and read differentials with fluid and changed the transfer case fluid, but haven't gotten to the transmission yet (the fluid looks reasonably red and clear and does not smell burnt). I think my problem is cluth pack slipage in the transmission, but I can't really tell. It works well enough that I an not going to tear apart the transmission yet, but the noise does concern me.
