Limited slip question

I know this may sound stupid but I had to ask. I noticed my LS works great in the snow going forward. But it doesn't seem to kick in while backing up. Does a LS work in reverce??? Thanks for any help.

It should in reverse. I can't think of a reason why it shouldn't unless forward movement puts more of a preload on the clutches but I can't picture that just yet.
