Ok people, here's my dumb question for today. It has to do with draining the radiator. You'll get a chuckle out of this but that's ok, maybe ya can give me a little advice from all your experience. I was looking at the radiator drain valve in anticipation of installing a power fan. Ya have to drain the rad to be able to remove the upper rad hose. Looking at the valve, it has the little black drain tube with the nut on the back whicj you'd loosen to drain the rad, and there's a small pipe barb, nipple, whatever on the pipe which I thought ya could install a piece of tubing to for draining. I thought, cool, this will make for a neat drain, just hook up a piece of tubing to the nipple, put the tubing in a gallon jug and open the valve. I could drain out a gallon at a time or whatever I needed. WRONG. I thought I'd give it a try and attempted to drain some into a gallon jug. Oh well, when you open the valve far enough to get coolant out of the hose barb it leaks like hell out of the back of the pipe where the nut is located that ya loosen. Sooooo, I guess ya gotta use a LARGE pan, bucket, or who knows what to catch all the coolant that's gonna gush all over the place. Then what's the easy way to get this giant bucket or whatever full of coolant Back into the radiator? Anybody got any good tips? Thx.
Monsta, thanks for the tips. You got a good point about taking the piece of tubing off of the nipple. I thought this might be neater (since I'm a neat freak), but it doesn't work. I'll try your recommendation. I'm hoping to install a Cyclone Power Fan (clutch) soon. I will let everyone know the outcome. Thx

I have heard of an electric fan, but I never heard of a Cylone fan, only in a "Vacuum cleaner". Tell me what it is. "I" might want one too.
